Details

Microsoft is happy to inform you that the Dynamics 365 for Finance and Operations, Enterprise Edition (on-premises), is now available for download.
Note: Dynamics 365 for Operations (on-premises) is being renamed. Your customer will see Dynamics 365 for Operations (on-premises) referenced throughout communications and licensing guides. The in-product name that your customer will see when deploying the product is Dynamics 365 for Finance and Operations, Enterprise Edition. These names refer to the same product.
Your customer will need:
A Microsoft Online Services ID (Azure Active Directory, AAD, tenant) to deploy Dynamics 365 for Finance and Operations, Enterprise Edition (on-premises), into their customer-owned environment.

Once the sign-in (for existing customers) or sign-up (for new customers) is complete, your customer needs to log into Microsoft Dynamics LCS at https://lcs.dynamics.com to deploy the product.
A Microsoft Online Services ID is required to access the LCS project. LCS is how local business data will be deployed into and provisioned in a customer’s datacenter. LCS will be used for application lifecycle management and customer access to Business Process Modeler, Hotfixes, Support experience, Methodology, etc.

This is a different experience for customers than how they access the product today, downloading software bits via the Volume Licensing Service Center or Partner Source Business Center/CustomerSource.

Customer instructions on how to activate an AAD tenant and to deploy the product are available on CustomerSource
Instructions for Dynamics Partners can be found on PartnerSource
More information specific to on-premises (also referred to as ‘local business data’) deployment can be found at this link
Customers who are qualified to use FastTrack services can use the service if they need help with their AAD activation or deployment.
