The next version of Microsoft Dynamics GP for on-premises customers has been released today, October 7, 2019.

Beginning with the October 2019 release, Microsoft Dynamics GP will follow the Modern Policy. The Modern Policy offers continuous support and servicing, including bug fixes, new features, and the latest tax updates. Customers may stay current by taking at least one of the three yearly planned updates. All older versions prior to October 2019 will continue to follow their existing Lifecycle timelines under the Fixed Policy. You may find those dates here. We will commit to three updates per year, with additional updates as needed.
Just under 40 features have been announced, targeting the following three main areas:

· Financial enhancements: Additional options and integrations, as well as enhancements facilitating various financial processes will be added, providing more functionality and making the system more user-friendly.

· Workflow functionality: Several workflow possibilities will be added, including 4 workflows related to security options. It will also be possible to import or export workflows without having to recreate them from scratch.

· System enhancements: Support for SQL 2019, Windows Server 2019 and Office 2019 will be improved, while more search, filter and sort options will be added to User Access. More than 30 report options will also be available in Report Group.

· Top feature requests: As usual, a selection of top feature requests from the Dynamics GP users will be added to the solution, ensuring that it meets the specific needs of the community.
